I went to bed at 1:00 a.m. and woke at 10:20 a.m.
I read The Mechanical Chrysanthemums.
A few hours later: Mom and I went to get spring water. We went to a grocery store and then Wal-Mart. I got carnations and freesia at Wal-Mart. We saw B. Mom used a scooter, and he drove it back from the parking lot to inside. It was a very productive shopping trip.
I conked out at 10:00 p.m. and woke at 10:00 a.m.
I reread some more of the Whybourne and Griffin books. I texted with J., WhiteSheepCBD and A. I'll talk to A. later.
Later: I went out and smelled the roses. Mom and I watched "Call the Midwife." I talked with A. for over an hour. I read Straight Shooter by Heidi Belleau. A college hockey player wanted to be dominated and humiliated. When asked for a safeword, he came up with "Luongo." I thought that was hilarious.
I conked out at midnight. There was a lot of construction noise on the street first thing in the morning. I got up at 8:30 a.m.
I reread Undertow. I am thinking of going back to the Christmas Tree Shop. Tonight is Friday Night Friends.
Later: I went to Friday Night Friends at a farm that has dairy cows and serves ice cream. There were some new kids and lambs, and pregnant ewes and nanny goats. It was fun to see everyone.
I reread Widdershins.
I went to bed at 1:00 a.m. and got up for the day at 10:30 a.m. I could have done better there.
I chatted a bit with A.W.
Mom and I went to the Concord Mall and to the Trader Joe's north of Wilmington. It was a successful shopping trip.
I started reading Good Bones.
Later: I finished Good Bones. I picked a couple of flowers from 'Mme. Zoetmans'.
I got up at 9:30 a.m., so that wasn't bad.
I met L.B. in the library early afternoon and we studied sign language. I read about what baseball was like 100 years ago.
We are going to the Reading Phillies game tonight.
I have a long novella to edit tomorrow.
Much later: Mom and Dad's church choir sang the Star-Spangled Banner at the Reading Phillies game. I was on my own for finding my seat, and walked back and forth a lot before learning that the seating was in the disabled section. Mom and Dad joined me after they sang. The choir did a good job. Mom kind of would have wanted to sit with the rest of the choir, but she couldn't have managed the stairs. The disabled section was on the ground level -- no stairs involved. It was nice, but there were really irritating children who came down from the deck above and raced back and forth and played tag and jumped around in the section. I asked them a few times to go back to their deck, but they didn't listen. I wanted Mom to use "Mom voice" on them, but she didn't.
The Reading Phillies won the game. It started raining a little in the eighth inning, and was raining harder by the ninth inning. We decided not to stay for the fireworks.
I called J. at 10:00 p.m. to wish him happy birthday two hours early.
A.J. and I went to Longwood Gardens.
I got up a little before 11:00 a.m.
A.J. and her sister B. and I rescheduled our trip to Longwood Gardens to Monday.
I arranged to talk to A. this evening. I spoke briefly to J.
I read some ghost stories.
I slept 'til 11:00 a.m.
I was short of breath today, so I used the nebulizer.
I went to the Amish Market and got lots of food.
I texted a little with WhiteSheepCBD, and arranged to chat with A. tomorrow evening.
I read a couple of mysteries by Diana Orgain.
I slept til almost noon, so that wasn't too good.
I got the free Friday Nook book. I read some of the Phlogiston books.
I went out to Friday Night Friends. We had pizza. It was in the cafe of a grocery store, so I went shopping after we had our pizza.
I woke at 9:00 a.m.
Today is learning to arrange flowers in the "pave" style in garden club.
Later: I made it to garden club in time. I brought in an orris flower. The pave technique demonstration was interesting. It was nice to see the ladies.
S.M. and P.M. and I took a quick turn around the Azalea Walk at Jenkins Arboretum. The azaleas were very nice.
