Mom and I went to the library. Mom got a bunch of books. Even though they were paperbacks and trade paperbacks, all together they were heavy. She asked me to carry some, which I knew she would. I still have books about Lawrence of Arabia. I have no idea what got me started with that. It's interesting to see the old maps, though, and learn about the Muslim versus Muslim conflict between the Ottoman Turks and the Arabs.
Mom and Dad got started watching last night's baseball game, and it looks like they're not going anywhere. I got an editing job I will do this evening. I went out to wander around the yard. I would have smelled the roses, but there weren't any blooming. The Rose-of-Sharon was, though, and the last flowers of the cardinal flower I got this year. The mistflower has been blooming. There's lots of mistflower. The apple trees have scabby little apples. We haven't tried to do anything with the apple trees for years. The heliotrope is still blooming, and the pentas. The lemon balm is fighting it out with the mistflower and the bindweed in the herb garden.
I texted with J. a little. I texted a little with L.B. I may get a tutoring job in the weeks to come.
