I went to bed before 1:00 a.m. and slept until almost noon.  I've got to do better.

Mom was concerned about me being short of breath, and wanted me to see the allergist.  I went to see Dr. J.  He said my lungs were clear, but it seemed that I had a lot of phlegm in my throat.  Although I had a cold, he did skin tests.  I am allergic to several kinds of trees and grasses.  It didn't really surprise me that I have become allergic to tobacco.  I was surprised that I had become allergic to corn, and a little allergic to wheat.

I went to the library and got a book entitled London Fog, which K.J. Charles had used information from to evoke the atmosphere in her "Sins of the Cities" stories, mostly set in 1873.  I read some of that.

Later: I read Julia Talbot's new Dreamspinner book.
