I read more B.A. Tortuga books. I'd read the Torquere version of Coke's Clown, but the Pride Publishing version had been considerably expanded. The new stuff was some pretty shocking additions, but I figured Coke and Dillon would eventually work it out. I'd never read Fais Do Do, which was expanded and changed to be Back to Back. Back to Back was pretty interesting. The thing with that Roughstock series is that apparently the rodeo folks are considered to be "old" when they're forty or so.
I dropped Dad off at Firestone when his car was fixed. I picked up dinner for Mom and me at Wendy's.
I went out for a bit after dinner to smell the roses. The deer have eaten a lot of the blossoms off 'Mme. Zoetmans'. The blue flag iris is blooming. The butterfly weed died, but one of the pentas is starting to bloom. I took the geraniums and begonias I'd overwintered out and took off their dead leaves. I left them out there. I don't think any mammalian herbivores are going to try to eat the scented-leaf geraniums or the zonal geraniums.
I talked with J. for about an hour. It was good catching up with him.
