Mom is getting her knee surgery this morning. We'll see how that goes, but it's an outpatient thing.
Mom said that J. and K. may visit.
I read a B.A. Tortuga novella.
Later: Mom came home all right. She needed some fairly intensive assisted-living-type nursing aide care, but within my experience of giving such care. She was shaky trying to do the couple of steps between the kitchen and the family room, but the next time she tried that, we had Dad helping her.
J. said he wouldn't make it to Pennsylvania today, but maybe tomorrow.
I read some more. I went out for Mom's medicine and then later out to get our dinner.
The 'Pocahontus' lilac is blooming now. We saw a fox in the backyard. It was stalking something, but a mockingbird settled in a tree near it and scolded. We have plenty of small rodents and rabbits for foxes to eat. Dad had seen a fox in the backyard a couple of weeks ago.
