I looked at the birds, and tried to feed them, but the bird feeder broke and spilled a lot on the ground. I saw a junco and sparrows eating the seed on the ground before the squirrel came. It's hard to see the sparrows when they're brown birds on a background of brown leaves. Dad fixed the feeder. A tufted titmouse came to that a few times.
I got free books from promos. I had already gotten the Freebie Friday Nook book in another freebie promo, possibly around this time last year. I got the ARe book, which was a straight contemporary. I got other free books. Octobercountry posted on the Gay Book Forum about a Dreamspinner Press sale. I investigated that.
Tonight the Friday Night Friends are going for s'mores.
A few hours later: Mom and Dad and I went to a grocery store. We looked at their holiday greens, but they were expensive. We went to the dollar store to get birthday cards for Dad and looked for wreaths at the produce place. They had cemetary blankets and trees and little sprays of evergreen, but didn't have wreaths. Our usual grocery store has proper wreaths relatively cheap.
Later: I read a couple of Sean Michael shapeshifter stories, and started Journey by Hollis Shiloh.
The Friday Night Friends went to Cosi's for s'mores and then to Bath & Body to look around there. I got rose-scented lotion on sale.
