Friday so far

I stayed up until 1:30 reading more of Ghosts of Jim Crow.  I don't think I fell asleep right away when I went to bed, but I don't think it took long for me to get to sleep.  I woke about twenty minutes before my alarm went off, so that wasn't bad.

I read some of Dirty Bites, which is a collection of Cole McGinnis short stories and interviews of the characters.  I said a quick hello to A.W.

I may go to the Amish market today.  I'll very likely go to the grocery store.

Later: I went to the Amish market and the grocery store.  L.B. and I will meet on Monday for sign language practice.  I signed up for the sign language 2 class.  I chatted some more with A.W. and got a long editing job to work on.

Later still: I went to the Y for Friday Night Friends.  We went to the Kennett Square Y and saw a movie with the new Friday Night Friends group there.  We saw the better part of "Elf."  I wasn't particularly into it.  I know it's on TV a lot.  K. brought snacks that YMCA-S. had gotten.  I contributed gingerbread.  It was the cake type, not the cookie type.  It was good.  I'll remember that for the next time I go to the Amish market.  We had to leave before the movie finished, because it was a longer movie than we had time for.  The bus driver, S., swerved to avoid a deer as we were leaving Kennett Square.  He took a bunch of back roads back to the Y.  T. said, "Are those deer?" as we drove on yet another back road.  Apparently they weren't in the road, though, just off to the side.  S. avoided deer all the way back to the Y., and then clipped the curb in front of the Y.  That's much less severe than hitting deer, though.
