Thursday so far

I turned the computer off a little before 11:00 p.m.  I read some of Drive Your Truck.  I went to bed around 1:15 a.m.  I couldn't get to sleep.  I was hungry.  I lay there for an hour, then finally got up and had grits at 2:30 a.m.  I still couldn't get to sleep, so I finished Drive Your Truck and tried again.  That must have been around 3:15 a.m.  I think I finally must have fallen to sleep around 4:00 a.m.  I got up at 10:40 a.m., and garden club starts at 11:00 a.m.

I knew I'd be late to garden club, so I called the hall we meet in and asked the administrative assistant there to let the garden club members know I'd overslept, and to go ahead.  I still wasn't moving fast.  I got there at noon, but there was still some meeting going on, so I took notes until the meeting was done.  J.D. had invited M.B., who showed up around lunchtime.  I had worked for M.B. in one of my library assistant jobs.

The afternoon presentation was about hydrangeas.  I don't think I've ever tried growing a hydrangea.  It was interesting, though.

I went to the library and the grocery store.  At the library, I got book 2 of the Easy Rawlins series.

After I got home, I chatted with A.W. on and off for a while.

I watched two episodes of "Call the Midwife."

There was a new chapter of "Presumptions," so I read that.
