I got free books from e-mail promos.
Slightly later: I chatted with A.W. for a while. We talked about diversity in m/m romances. Anya in Rough and Tender existed to get into trouble, but had her own personality. I said there should be a person of color in the bar/dance club novella she's writing now. Maybe a bartender or bouncer who looks like Idris Elba, I said.
Later than that: We went to see if the shoe repair man, N.C., had fixed my purse. He hadn't gotten to it yet, but said he could fix it in an hour. Mom and I went to get spring water, then went to the library for a while. I got a couple more sign language books. When we came back to the shoe repair place, N.C. was nearly done. Mom and I sat in the car and read our books. It was cool enough that we could sit in the car with the windows rolled down. I went back in in a few minutes, and he was done. We stopped at a grocery store, then went home.
I've been practicing my sign language all week. I hope I can remember it tonight in class.
Much later: I didn't remember much sign language vocabulary when I was actually at class. The class is mentally exhausting. I was better than some people, but worse than others. I guess as long as I keep practicing, I'll be okay.
