I wrote a review for Re-Inventing Love. I still would have done things differently with the proofreading. I didn't understand why Max kept getting arrested for feeble reasons in Canada. I could see that first set-up, trumped-up charge in Germany. In Canada he was arrested for being in the vicinity when trouble happened. I guess it was to raise the tension, but the tension was raised and then the tension fizzled out. Despite those things, I enjoyed the book. It started out depressingly, and I might have dropped it then if I wasn't reading it to review it. But I persevered, and was given a nice love story, with pining and a satisfactory culmination.
Mom and I went to the grocery store and got quite a lot of food and household necessities.
When we got home, I worked on my editing job. I could do all the proofreading I wanted to on that one, and it needed it. I finished that in the afternoon.
There was an update to "Hands of Clay," which J.-PA texted me about. I am subscribed to it, so I knew. I told her I'd read it when I was finished my editing job. I did. She said she'd read it when she was done work. Apparently it's up there as one of her very favorite Avengers fics. She read up through the previous chapter in only a few days, and that fic is really long.
I chatted a little with A.W. and sent her Dirty Kiss and Dangerous Ground as ARe gifts.
Later: I chatted with Riah, and then got super-sleepy and lay down for a while. It was too early for me to go to sleep, so I just lay there for about an hour. I wasn't in distress, but lying down and thinking quietly. I had a headache when I got up, though.
When I woke, I saw that A.W. had been busy with some new chapters of her book. I got back into proofreading mode and went through them. We chatted again for a while.
