I signed up for a couple of "Night School" classes offered by the county. They are for adults who want to learn hobbies, crafts, learn a language, learn about a subject, or go on a bus trip, etc. I signed up for jewelry making and Sign Language 1. I want to learn sign language.
I ordered fall-planted and spring-planted bulbs from Old House Gardens. Some of them were rare even for a specialty bulb company. Those are probably sold out already. I didn't want broken tulips (tulips with a broken pattern on the flower that shows as stripes or flames of color), which was good, because they sold out fast. I got "Butter and Eggs" daffodils. I ordered jonquils last year, so they should come soon. I ordered a "Tulip Diversity Sampler," which apparently has some of the tulips they have a lot of, but showing the wide range of their appearances.
Later: Mom and I went out and about, including to the library. This week and into the next are the times to turn in the book lists from the adult summer reading program. I looked on Goodreads for books I'd read recently, and filled in the list of ten books. We came home briefly, then went out again to the Amish market.
I went out again in the early evening, to register for Friday Night Friends. I couldn't register. The front desk person at the Y said to come back on Tuesday when the people who could do it would be there. That was a wasted trip. I stopped at the library again to pick up more books to meet the criteria for the sixteen-book challenge. I still need to read "a book being made into a movie this year," "a book 'everyone' has read but you," and "a book recommended by a librarian." That would be The Danish Girl, To Kill a Mockingbird and Bring on the Blessings, respectively. I tried to read them earlier in the summer and couldn't. Maybe I'll get through them in the next few days.
I talked a little with A.J. and her sister B. A.J. still has her cold. I told her I'd see her next Friday. I texted a bit with WhiteSheepCBD. I chatted a little with Jamie. It was nice catching up with zir.
