It turned out to be the wrong time to see Dr. G. I had made another appointment for mid-October, just in case. I could have gone to garden club, but really didn't feel like it. Mom and I went to the dollar store to get birthday cards for Uncle D., and Mom found the kind of pocket calendar she'd been looking for there, cheaper than at Jo-Ann's, and a fraction of the cost of the Staples pocket calendars.
Next we went to the post office to mail the cards for Uncle D. Then we went to Wal-Mart, and found everything we wanted. Dad had dental surgery this morning, so we're going to eat soft food tonight. Mom got Glucerna for him. Altogether, it was the most successful shopping trip that we've had in like two months, at least.
A few hours later: We dropped my car off at Firestone so they could change the filters. We went to the grocery store. Mom asked me if I thought Hamburger Helper would be a soft enough food for Dad. I thought so. We'll find out. We went back to Firestone and got the car.
I looked through the Old House Gardens catalog. I texted a little with J.-PA.
I read some new chapters of fic I'm subscribed to, including a fic from "The Sweetest Thing" series.
I proofed part of a novella for fun. I'll probably pick back up with it tomorrow. I had editorial Opinions, but the author didn't seem to mind.
