I called B., A.J.'s sister, to say I was running late. I left a message. I packed for the pool as quickly as I could, and got there at 12:30. B. and A.J. were waiting for me. A.J. and I went to the pool. She got some laps in while I paddled around. We called it a day around 3:30 because I wanted to miss the rush hour traffic on the main drag. We went back to her house and washed up. We went to a local restaurant. There was a deluge on the drive there, rain pouring down in sheets. Then there was an accident near the restaurant. We got there. It was just starting to sprinkle there, and then when we got in, the deluge started there. The trees were blowing sideways, and the rain was going sideways. Also there was thunder and lightning. Fortunately, the restaurant didn't lose power. B. and A.J. went home to their house, and I headed home to my house.
The deluge had passed by the time I got home, but it knocked over the apple mint and the smaller cardinal flower near the southeast side of the house. The abutilon actually looked perkier. I guess that had really needed water. The sambac jasmine 'Maid of Orleans' is in bud again.
Later: I got free books from e-book promos.
