Tuesday so far

I started working on a long editing job late in the evening, and had to keep reading to see what happened.  It was good.  I turned off the computer around 12:15 a.m., way too late.  I reread Brian's Mate until 2:00 a.m.  I think I got to sleep pretty quickly.  I woke a little before 10:00 a.m.  Dad was using the weed-whacker, which is loud.

I broke a couple of mugs and a bowl when I was trying to get a mug down.  Dad glued the mugs back together, but the first flower one I painted is too chipped to use again.  That was the prettiest one.  I'll have to do another one.

I went outside around noon and gardened for a couple of hours.  I planted lots of herbs and flowers.  I think I've planted all the herbs now.  I planted some of the mints in pots.  I planted all the sun-loving plants, including the geraniums.  I watered all the plants I planted.  I still need to plant the shade plants, the begonias and caladiums.  I will be wondering why my back and legs and arms ache tomorrow.

The sweet briar and 'Mme. Zoetmans' are starting to bloom.  The guy who came to paint the door dark blue brought his wife and baby, so they could get some sun.  I showed them 'Mme. Zoetmans' and told the mother to smell it.  "It smells like perfume!" she said.

I said, "That's the one that's used to make perfume," and pointed out 'Kazanlik' ('Trigintipetala'), which has buds but isn't blooming yet.

Cherryfeather posted a new chapter of U Pro O.  I read that.

Later: I reread The One He Wants.  I finished up that long editing job.
