I read a couple of chapters of updated fics.
I went out and about in the yard and picked some 'Ice Follies' daffodils. I still can't believe they're thought of as "heirlooms." They're so common. The mahonia only has a few flowers at the ends of the flower stems, but they're starting to open. I sprayed the day lily foliage and the roses with Deer-Off. The tradescantia 'Miss Kate' has some leaves coming up. They start out red and then change to a violent lime green. At least they're easily identifiable. The acorus is starting to come up, too. The lily-of-the-valley has some growth points. 'Roseraie de l'Haye' is leafing out. I thought it was dead, so that was a pleasant surprise. I picked another small branch of the winter honeysuckle.
I went to the Friday Night Friends night in at the Y. K.-who-says-"moo"-frequently and I swam, or at least paddled around a little. Then the whole group played Bingo. I won a couple of times. There were little prizes. I got Star Wars stickers for J. and then I got a light-up plastic flower for myself.
K.J. Charles said there was a "horrendous row" in the world of m/m romance. This time I totally missed it. I looked around and didn't find that one, but I did find an old one with certain authors and reviewers attacking a gay Hispanic man for a review he did. Scary. Of course I read through some of the trainwreck, the screenshots of the deleted stuff, and then reactions to that.
