Mom stayed home because she had a cold.
I was going to have lunch with C.F., who was my supervisor at a grad school library back when, but she had left me a message that she had a bad cold and couldn't make it. I didn't look at my phone until after I got to the cafe. I called her back to tell her I got the message, and then ordered lunch to go and came back home.
Dad and I went out and about in the afternoon. We went to the library and got books for Mom, and went to the Y. to exercise. I walk on the treadmill a little bit while reading on my e-reader. I've been reading General Misconduct by L.A. Witt. I reread "A May-September Romance," which is a cute fic, and then started reading Starstruck. I went to the lobby to read some of that, then went back to the treadmill for another little bit of a walk while I read another chapter. I introduced Dad to R., who starts work at 4:00 p.m.
We went to Dairy Queen afterwards to pick up dinner. Tonight Mom and I will probably watch "More Manners of Downton Abbey," which I taped the other day.
Later: Mom and I watched "Downton Abbey Revisited," which aired some months ago and reminded viewers what had happened in season five. At the time it aired, we hadn't yet seen season five. We had caught up by the time season six started.
