I read the latest chapter of "We're a Power Couple and Everyone Knows It (But Us)." I got free Nook books from the free and deals e-mail. I'll probably go shopping later today.
A few hours later: Mom and I went to the dollar store for cards, a little grocery store, and the usual grocery store. We got everything we wanted. Unfortunately, Mom saw the prices on the "It's a 10" hair products on our way through the shampoo aisle. I like that they make my hair nice and smooth.
After I got home, I saw that "Sua Sponte" had updated. I knew it hadn't been abandoned, but it had been a while since the last update. I read that chapter.
Later: I texted back and forth with J. He and K. are still sick with sinus stuff. He told me when K.'s birthday is. I said that if we didn't lose the card before then, we would send it to her. P.M. called me back. She had e-mailed, and I had called her and left messages. She wondered if I had Power Point. I had signed up for a free trial month of it so one garden club program presented could do her slide show, but that month ran out long ago. I explained this. I said that the garden club could get me Microsoft Office if they wanted to, and then laughed. Fortunately for me and them, I have Word, which is what I use to take my minutes.
I am looking forward to the new chapter of "War, Children" that will be posted on Monday morning. It's one of my reasons to get out of bed on Monday mornings.
Later still: Mom and I watched "Downton Abbey."
I got news that J.D. of the garden club had had triple bypass surgery on Friday. I will send a card to the hospital.
