Later: I had cinnamon stick tea. That helped with the grogginess.
I went to an appointment with Dr. B., the podiatrist. My feet needed a little work, but nothing major. I'm good now.
Mom and I went out again shortly after I got home. I got a haircut while Mom went to a nearby Kohl's. She didn't find anything there, but my hair looks a lot better. Other stops we made included the dollar store and the grocery store. Mom got a card for Uncle R.K., her brother, at the dollar store. It was a productive trip for me.
Uena put up a new chapter of a fic in "The Sweetest Thing" series, which is Musketeers fluff. I read that. I expect I will read more fic later on tonight.
Later still: My stomach was bad again. I took various remedies.
Yesterday I heard back from one of the writers I contacted about being published. She was interested. I haven't heard back from anybody else. I will have to ask M. if she's heard from anyone. I know it's the holidays, and I am being impatient.
Slightly later than that: M. said she had my list of the people I'd contacted. She especially liked the idea of the fic that had rope bondage and D/s. "Yum," she said. Sean Michael had his whole Shibari House series. There was some bondage in that series, and a lot of other kinds of BDSM, typical of what Sean writes when he writes BDSM. I've only read the first couple books in his Hammer series, but I got the idea.
J. and J.-PA both contacted me with the news about Mark Salling from Glee being arrested for child pornography. It's a terrible thing. I knew a guy, J5, who went between being a friend and a friend-with-benefits with me for a couple of years. His father went to jail for that and incest, though J5 said he didn't remember anything. His father's younger brother did, though. It was a bad time in J5's life. I tried to be supportive. We lost touch when I couldn't drive for a while. I later heard he joined the military.
I don't usually post much about real life news, things happening outside my family and online and offline social circles. But I did mention that news.
