Dad and I finished watching "Ant-Man." He enjoyed the model trains scene. He liked the movie overall. I think the DVD came out fairly recently. I got it at B.J.'s.
I commented on the fic "War, Children" again, on chapter 3. The free book from ARe is one by Mary Calmes, published by Dreamspinner Press. I already had it. I suppose I got it during a Dreamspinner dollar title sale(?). I'm not sure, but I probably got it on sale.
A few hours later: I made it to an appointment with Dr. L. I stopped briefly at the grocery store, which was very busy. Mom wants to go to Wendy's. I think I am done going into the big shopping area for the day. It was super-busy around there.
Later: I did laundry.
I reread "War, Children." I started reading a couple of fics that were tagged "Brian Banner's A+ Parenting." This is obviously deep sarcasm, as according to Internet summaries of the Hulk comic books, Bruce's father Brian killed his mother, Rebecca. I'm not sure if that was established before or after I was reading Hulk comic books. I would have been reading them in the late 1980s or early 1990s, when Peter David was writing it. But the fics where the writers have read the comics agree that Brian Banner was abusive to Bruce, and agree about the murder. It would explain why Bruce has a "rage monster" inside. Apparently in the comics, Hawkeye's father was abusive, too. Clint doesn't have a literal rage monster, but he has his share of issues. According to the Internet summaries and the fics from people who read the Hawkeye comics, some of his emotional issues are from being made deaf again.
Edited to add: I ended up with two Tuesday posts. At least I was consistent in when I went to sleep and got up.
