I read the new chapter of "War, Children" and a couple of chapters of other Steve/Bucky fic that I'm following. There was a new chapter of the Hawaiian one, which had ended in a cliffhanger last chapter. Mellyflori posted a new chapter of her modern day AU Musketeers Christmas fic. She actually picked out the plot from prompts with the plots of Hallmark movies. I said that adding gay polyamorous characters was a definite improvement over a Hallmark movie.
I got books from Harmony Ink and DSP Publications using the $5 off holiday coupon code. One was by Rhys Ford and one was by Eli Easton. I enjoy their books, what I've read of them.
Dad left to get a haircut right after I got up, and made several other stops, too. He said he got rock salt from Home Depot, and I said that I would have gotten an amaryllis. Perhaps I will go out this afternoon and get a cheap amaryllis bulb from somewhere.
Later: Dad and I watched the first half of "Ant-Man." Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne were founding members of the Avengers. The Ant-Man in the movie was Scott Lang, who was a later Ant-Man.
Mom and Dad and I went out to the local independent bookstore so she could get books for the church library. We stopped at a grocery store for "Cheap Chicken Monday."
Jax commented today on the Goodreads Backlot Gay Book Forum about free and on sale books. She contributes a lot to the free and on sale book thread. Something Like Summer is free on Amazon, Kobo and Smashwords. I already had it from Smashwords, because I wanted to own it outright in multi-format. But I got it as a Kindle book while it was free so I can lend it out to someone who missed the promo.
