Dad and I went to get Mom's car, and Dad took that while I went to the Y. I picked up A.J., and we went to the mall and got sushi for lunch. Then we went to the library. A.J. worked on one of her stories.
Slightly later: A.J. printed out her first story and worked on a second one. Her brother-in-law C. picked her up at 3:00 p.m. I got out the movie "The Outsiders."
Later: I watched "The Outsiders." It was as I remembered it. Looking at it from an older perspective, I can see how the boys were used as eye candy. But the movie stuck to the plotline of the book pretty well.
I got the book City of God, historical fiction about the Borgia family, from a BookBub deal. So far, it reminds me heavily of the TV show "The Borgias" that I watched recently. It was published in 1978, though, so before many of the actors in the TV show were born. In the book, Cesare Borgia is called Valentino, which keeps throwing me. When the book starts, Cesare has already stepped down as cardinal, and wears black. Giulia Farnese is in the book, and Michelotto, who is gay and an assassin. I guess that was popular knowledge at least in historical fiction. I am perhaps a third of the way through.
