Mom had been talking about going to the beach, so I thought she and Dad had gone without me. It turned out they were just out shopping, though. When they came back, Mom said she wanted to go to Trader Joe's.
Slightly later: Jax posted on the Goodreads Backlot Gay Book forum that Josh Lanyon had revealed that she was a woman. The person I first saw saying that was cruel to other authors and to readers, cursing them out in public and everything, so I was skeptical. I'll have to adjust my worldview on my thoughts about Josh, but I'd been hearing that as a rumor for years, including from people much more kind-hearted than that first person.
Racheline Maltese posted that Dreamspinner Press was having a sale, so I got the books by her and Erin McRae.
A couple of hours later: Mom and I went to Trader Joe's. It was a productive trip. We had a cooler bag for the cold foods, so we could stop briefly on the way home. We stopped at the local independent bookstore so Mom could pick up books for her church library.
Later: I talked with A.J. a couple of times. I got an episode of "The Borgias" in.
Added: I consulted a reference book. Here was my post about it on the Gay Book forum:
