Sunday so far

I went to bed around 1:00 a.m., after reading some of B.A. Tortuga's new book from Dreamspinner.  I got up a little before 6:00 a.m., but managed to doze off again until 9:00 a.m.

Vo updated "The Ballad of the Three-Legged Werewolf."  Finally all that UST was resolved.

I chatted with Jamie a bit.  You Gotta Let It Out is posting again, and has been since August.  I got caught up.  They're on "Michael" now.  I'll have to ask them if they'll be analyzing "I Want You Back."

A few hours later: Mom and I went to the Y.  The pool was cold, but I went in briefly.  Mom swam a few times.  I finished Kim Fielding's Rattlesnake.  I thought it was good.

I chatted with Riah.  She pointed me to a post by a romance reader gushing over 50 Shades and wondering what to read next.  I have not read 50 Shades but have heard from BDSM practicioners that it's bad BDSM.  I agreed with the recommendations of the Black Dagger Brotherhood books and Joey W. Hill's books.  I have not read Rough Canvas, but may have to try it.  TeddyPig was not impressed.  Of the ones I've read in the Nature of Desire series, Natural Law was my favorite, which I said.  I recommended books by Syd, James, Jules and Riah herself for m/m BDSM books.  I looked around the blog and saw that the writer had done a m/m romance recommendation list.  There were some good books on there.  The writer and some of the commenters recommended "Gay for You" books, but there were lots of other books on there that were ones where the characters started out gay or bi.  I should have recommended Jet Mykles for that list, as she's "The Queen of Gay for You."  Someone recommended "Str8te Boys" by Evangeline Anderson, which is hilarious and one of my top guilty pleasure reads.

I arranged to talk with A. in the evening.

Later: I talked with A. for a while.  My comment and another comment recommending "Load the Dice" went through moderation.  I mentioned other authors as well, so hopefully I didn't sound too coached.  I read the reviews of the Black Dagger Brotherhood books on that site.
