Friday so far

I went to bed around 12:15 a.m., after finishing the advance reader copy of the book that comes out today.  I woke at 6:30 a.m. and went back to bed.  I woke again a little before 10:00 a.m.

I got the Free Fridays Nook book and a couple more of the free Nook books mentioned in the comments.

Several fics that I've been following were updated, and I read the new chapters.

Later: Mom and I went to the Y and went swimming.  The water was a comfortable temperature.  Between dips, I started reading the second in Keira Andrews' trilogy of forbidden Amish gay romance.

Slightly later than that: I reviewed the third in the Queen's Musketeers series.  I didn't think it was the best thing I'd ever read, but found it decent enough for what it was, so I gave it four stars.  The violence, and particularly the self-injury, in the series was not to my taste.  But violence is in the canon of The Three Musketeers and "The Musketeers."

Back when I was reading my earliest m/m romance, I gave a Willa Okati book three stars because I didn't like the "Gay for You."  I didn't realize how popular that trope was.  I've read a lot of Willa Okati stories since then, and corresponded a good bit with her.  She knows I'm a big fan.  I gave "With Love" by J.L. Langley four stars, and I loved that story.  I took a star off for the grammatical errors and typos, being new to the usual type of editing by independent romance e-publishers.  I think Samhain has gotten better since then.

Later: I texted a little with WhiteSheepCBD.  I read Musketeers and Avengers fic.
