Mom and I are talking about going to Wal-Mart. We'll probably go to other stores, too.
A few hours later: Mom and I went to a big Wal-Mart that had a market, and then she went to the allergist to get her allergy shot. Mom told the nurse at the allergist's that all of us have had itchy eyes. The nurse said that there were a lot of molds out there. That makes sense, considering how much it's been raining. I read more of Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell. We went to the grocery store where J.-PA works. She was gone for the day. We saw A.R., who teaches cooking classes. He said hi. Mom locked her keys in the car. Dad was at another Wal-Mart. He got his stuff, went home and got the extra set of car keys, and came to let us in the car. That grocery store has a little cafe with comfortable seating, so we were not in distress as we waited. So that was our adventure for the day.
Dad and I had both gotten suet. We put it out, and either hairy or downy woodpeckers found it within ten minutes. We've had several different kinds of birds in the woodpecker family. I saw a flicker a couple of times during the week, and we saw a red-bellied woodpecker the other day. There was a deer in the yard. It showed little fear of humans, but loped off after I ran towards it, yelling at it. We see catbirds all the time. Also we hear their mewing calls. They really like the bird bath. Last year a pair had a nest in the sweet briar.
I got a "season pass" for the TV episodes of "Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell." Apparently it's been airing on BBC America.
I chatted with Riah a little bit.
Later still: I talked with A. for a little while. I watched the first episode of "Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norell," which spoiled some parts about Jonathan Strange for me. I had gotten far enough in the book that I wasn't spoiled for most of the parts with Mr. Norell.
