Friday so far

I turned off the computer at 11:00 p.m.  I sat up reading African American English, a textbook by Lisa Green, until 2:00 a.m.  It took me a little while to get to sleep, but I don't think it was hours.  I woke a few minutes before my alarm went off.

Dad put birdseed out.  There's still a little suet left, but now that the starlings and woodpeckers have found it, it's going fast.  I'll go to Wal-Mart or the grocery store for more suet.

I smelled the roses I put in a glass bowl.  I will go outside to smell the roses soon.

Slightly later: I got free Nook books.

A couple of hours later: I went to the grocery store and got suet for the birds.  There was a chipmunk in the bird feeder.  I have no idea how it got up there, but when we shooed it away it jumped several feet down off the bird feeder and scurried away.  Hopefully the birds will come back to the suet, now that I put more out.

I went around and smelled the roses: 'Mme. Zoetmans', 'Mme. Isaac Pereire', the Jacobite rose, 'Ispahan', 'Botzaris' and 'Fantin-Latour'.  'Konigen von Danemark' has a bud that looks like it will open fully soon.  Also, the sweet bay magnolia is blooming.

Later: I recommended fic to Te's group.  One of the people I recommended fic to was the writer of one of the fics.  At least I said I liked her stuff.
