I went outside to put bird seed in the feeder. I looked at my plants. I still need to plant some herbs. The French sorrel was very dried out. I watered that and other flowers and herbs. I stepped on a trailing stem of the lantana and squashed the flowers. It had some buds on another stem, so there will be more soon. The sweet briar has a few flowers open. A bud of 'Mme. Zoetmans' is opening. Something ate the tops off some of the tiger lilies.
I got a bunch of free Nook books. Some were published with Smashwords, so I got them from Smashwords, too.
A few hours later: Mom came home early. She's planning to take Tuesday off, so she'll have a nice four-day weekend. We'll probably go to the Y on Tuesday. My plan was to meet up with A.J.
I texted some with J.-PA. She wants to read Hawkeye fic. I have a lot of Avengers fic saved. Mom and I went to the grocery store where J.-PA works, but she was at lunch. More than half the time I've gone to her grocery store, she's been on break. It must be my timing of coming in mid-afternoon. Anyway, Mom and I had a productive shopping trip.
I planted the French sorrel, the salad burnet, the chocolate mint, the pineapple mint, the heliotropes and the butterfly weed. I watered the begonias and the scented geraniums. I feel like I was kind of productive. I sprayed Deer-Off on a number of plants.
Later: I told Dad that I had gotten a bunch of free mysteries and thrillers for him to read. He complained about the "foul language" in modern mysteries. I said, "You were in the Army! And what about the veterans?" He's in like half a dozen veterans' groups. He said they weren't too bad.
Later still: I sent many links to Avengers fics to J.-PA. We chatted online for quite a while.
