The ARe free book today is by Jennifer Ashley. At least they have some authors I've heard of. She had The Hanover Square Affair (writing as Ashley Gardner) free at some point, too. I guess as she ventures into self-publishing, she's trying to get a new audience for the books, the idea presumably being that readers will try one and want to continue. It's not a bad idea. I love freebies.
The BookBub books include an on-sale one that's a Gay for You, in a "Taboo" line. I think that's getting a little tired. Or, at least, I'm getting tired of Gay for You books when original fiction m/m romances have been relatively popular for years, many of which have characters who were gay or bisexual to start with.
I chatted with Jules a little. She is a member of the group which votes for the Hugo Awards, which were gamed this year. They were gamed so that right-wingers were put up for the awards. A raging homophobe is up for six awards. I looked it up on Google, and read some articles about it. It's really a shame. I hope that next year's awards aren't gamed like that.
Later: I went to Longwood Gardens with A.L. There wasn't a whole lot blooming outside compared to what it will be a few weeks later, but tons of flowers in the conservatories.
Vo updated her Winter Soldier A/B/O fic.
Later still: I talked with A. for a while. I read more about the Hugo Awards being gamed. I printed out an editing job to work on. I worked on the editing job, and then finished up The Vixen and the Vet.
