I chatted online with J.-PA until about 11:45 p.m.  I went to bed around 1:00 a.m.  Mom woke me a few minutes after 8:00 a.m. so I could get ready to go to the YMCA.

We got to the Y a little after 9:00.  We found A.J.'s brother-in-law C., and then found a bridge partner for Mom.  I walked on the treadmill and read more of Guarded on my Kindle.  I paddled around in the pool from 10:30 to 11:00, then participated in the Aquafit class.

Mom and I then went to a Walgreen's, where there were various food items on sale.  I got Cadbury Eggs.  We came home for lunch, then went out again to the grocery store and to the library.  I rented "The Amazing Spiderman 2" and "Fantastic Four 2," having gotten the first in those series cheaply last month.  I put a hold on a set of the season one DVDs of "Downton Abbey."  I'll see if Mom will watch that with me.  It was a good day for me.  I got exercise.  Mom said she had a good time playing bridge.

A.J. called.  We talked for a bit.  I'll have to call her back about going to the Flower Show.

Tonight is the last episode of "Agent Carter."  I am enjoying the show.  I heard the series got poor ratings, though.  I suppose it will be more "proof" an action-adventure show that has a female lead won't succeed.  It was good to see the real Jarvis.  It set up a lot, and explained a lot of where things in the movies came from.  Obviously they can't shut down the Red Room program, because that's how the Black Widow got trained.

Later: I watched "Agent Carter."  Dottie got away.  The SSR agents and the Howling Commandos only got as much information about the Red Room program as they saw themselves, with no opportunity to question anyone.  The hypnotist was put in a prison cell with Arnim Zola.  So there was set-up for "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," and, especially with the Howard Stark plot, the formation of SHIELD.  Howard was still single, but he would later marry Maria, and they'd have Tony.  Tony would obviously have great affection for Edwin Jarvis.  It was poignant that Howard would never know that Steve had lived, and that Peggy had dementia by the time he visited, and couldn't remember that for more than a few minutes.  But the major loose ends of the series were tied up, and what would continue to the future was set up.
