I had wanted to get some of the Marvel movies to watch in case we were snowbound again this winter. I went with Dad to Staples and the inevitable trip to the grocery store. Then I was off on my own looking for cheap movies. I went to Five Below first, because YMCA-K. said she'd gotten a couple of movies there. I got "The Fantastic Four" there. I went to Best Buy and got "The Amazing Spiderman" and "The Avengers" there for pretty cheap, although for more than $5.00.
I went to Wal-Mart and ended up getting mostly health and beauty aids, and some food. I saw B. from the Friday Night Friends group there and said a quick hello. I went to Barnes & Noble. They were having a "buy one, get the second half price" sale on DVDs and CDs. I got "Iron Man" and "Captain America."
Later: Dad and I ended up watching "The Avengers" on TV, when we could have watched it on DVD. Go figure.
I read some Avengers fic as well. A lot of what I read with Hawkeye as a main character draws from the comic books, too. I look under the tag "deaf Clint Barton," as that's canon.
