I wanted to get an entry in in case LiveJournal goes down again. If it stays up, I'm sure I'll have more to say.
I got an editing job to work on, a collection of novelettes and short stories. It's pretty easy reading.
I chatted with Riah a little bit.
Later: I got the published versions of the two novelettes I was missing in the series. I'll read through the individually published stories and compare them to the collection. I edited several in the series, and remember it pretty well.
I read Avengers fic.
Slightly later than that: I remembered that Rainjoy had posted an update to the Affinity!Verse yesterday, that I had seen she'd updated when it was late at night for me. I read that update this evening. It was in three parts. It's over 800 pages now, and still no d'Artagnan. Not that I'm counting pages or anything.
The boys are on a more-or-less non-powered adventure. They -- mostly Athos -- ended up shooting a lot of people. The people were criminals, and I'm sure Athos will be as coolly functional as he ever is when he's relatively sober. Aramis shot one of the criminals, but my thought about Affinity!Verse Aramis is that he will confess his sins and go on. Canon-in-the-TV-show Aramis said he was better at dispatching souls to hell than saving them, so he wouldn't have made a good priest. Canon-in-the-books Aramis became a priest and then a bishop, but I don't think -- not having read the second book -- that he would have been a good priest either.
Slightly later than that: WhiteSheepCBD saw my message about the update. She was excited. The mysterious mpreg that Rainjoy wrote is a Musketeers one. WhiteSheepCBD and I were both like, "OMG!" Rainjoy said she thought it was "niche."
