I sat under the sunlight-effect lamp and read Avengers fic. There's some very good kid fic with Hawkeye and Agent Coulson taking care of a baby that Barney had fathered. Clint went up to Iowa to settle his brother's "estate," which turned out to be little Sam. I'll have to recommend it to WhiteSheepCBD. I don't think you have to have watched "The Avengers" to appreciate it. http://archiveofourown.org/works/930057 and the sequel by another writer: http://archiveofourown.org/works/1108260
I drove Mom to the university where she works, since she was working evening shift and likes to have company on the drive. The university is an HBCU (Historically Black College or University). They have a lot about and by Alexandre Dumas pere and fils. I am reading Dumas: Father and Son. It was published in 1930 and is fairly racist. It was a gift from the class of 1916. I guess they thought it was better to have a biography that would have probably have been mildly racist at the time than no biography.
I chatted with Riah a bit.
I read Watching While Black: Centering the Television of Black Audiences. I knew the TV shows of the 1980s, but hadn't watched many of the more modern ones. YMCA-P. called, and I was telling him about the book, and which of the shows I'd watched.
I texted with WhiteSheepCBD a bit. She was watching "The Break-Up."
I read the kid fic again.
