I went to get another blood test, this time a fasting one. The phlebotomist looked at the veins on the insides of my elbows, and the bruises still there, while I said, "It's probably better to take the blood from a vein on my hand." So she did.
I have an appointment today. I may go to the YMCA afterwards to walk on the treadmill a little bit. I can't get the bandage wet, so no swimming.
A few hours later: I made it to the appointment. Dad and I dropped my car off at Firestone for an inspection, then went to a grocery store.
Later: My car passed inspection. I am very happy.
Later still: I started a Musketeers rewatch. There were things from the first episode I appreciated much better after seeing the whole season.
I chatted with WhiteSheepCBD for a while. I explained that Neyron rose was kind of a play on words, to my way of thinking. The 'Paul Neyron' rose was so popular in Victorian times that there was a color called "Neyron pink." And "pink" in French is "rose." So there's a rose/pink meaning, too. I said I was fine being called 'Rose.
I talk about various things here and on Tumblr. I don't have different identities for different subjects. I expected to talk about gardening and romance novels and Glee on Tumblr. I reblog some of Weeds' posts. I'm not sure how I ended up talking about race on Tumblr every so often, except that I follow some social justice people. I quote biyuti, penroseparticle and black-john-lennon now and then, though penroseparticle is more often posting about comic books. I don't have a "race" tag, because I feel that would be presumptuous. I think I have an "AAVE" tag, though. I should make an AAVE tag for here, too, except there are so many years I'd have to go through if I wanted to tag earlier entries.
