I had texted Robinalaska, since we were in the same state. We talked a little in the afternoon, but Mom was packing as we spoke.
Mom and I went home to Pennsylvania. The trip through Maryland was fine. Part of the trip through Pennsylvania was challenging. We ran into a nasty rainstorm as we approached [borough], sheets of rain that looked to me like they were blowing sideways. Visibility was very poor. There was some lightning, too. Mom talked about stopping in a couple of places to wait out the storm, but by then we weren't too far from home, and it let up some for the last mile or so.
Rainjoy put up a new chapter of the Affinity!Verse. I read it on my phone that afternoon, then printed it out when I got home. It was a nice respite from the last chapter, which was a rough and violent one. I will note that it's been over 500 pages, and d'Artagnan hasn't shown up yet, but I do like the Affinity!Verse's Aramis, Porthos and Athos.
I will ask A. if he wants to talk tonight.
Later: I talked with A. for about half an hour.
