another kind of quiet day

Slept through Garden Club meeting.  I'd fallen asleep at 8:00 a.m.  There was no way I was going to wake up at 10:00 a.m.  Did make it to my 1:30 p.m. appointment, and then to the bookstore.  We'd gotten a lot of donations, so I helped to sort those.  Several bags were of classic books, and they have their own boxes, so I could put them away.  After I'd done several bags, I worked on filling in the romance section.  There were a couple people shopping in romance.  I told them that if they were looking for a particular author, we had more books in the back.  I wasn't able to find more by Linda Castillo than the two copies of one of her books that we had, but I told the lady to keep stopping by, that we get new-to-us books all the time.  I've seen her before, and she said she'd be back.

Lisabea (http://lisabea.blogspot.com) said she'd watched 500 clips of Alles Was Zahlt (http://awz.parakaproductions.com) in five days.  I think that must be some sort of record.  She wasn't too keen on Deniz after the first three and a half days of watching the show, but I told her he did grow out of the "bad puppy" stage.  By day five, she was all, "YAY Deniz."  She said she'd just needed a little vacation from things, although she took breaks from her marathon soap-opera-watching event to cook and clean and ski.  Also, Roman Wild is her "new favorite gay boyfriend."  Adrien English has apparently been replaced by a figure-skating diva nicknamed "Hase" (Bunny).  Who wouldn't love Bunny, though?  I didn't look at the Eskimo Kiss Project's site yesterday because Deniz and Roman weren't in that day's episode.  I discovered today that EKP did put up a bit where they talked to Dennis Grabosch.  I told Lisabea I thought he understood a lot of English.  He also speaks it pretty clearly, though he's got this interesting mix of a German accent and something of a British English accent.  I suppose that makes sense, especially considering his husband is British.  I was expecting a German accent.  I wasn't expecting a British accent in there as well.
