Monday so far

I turned off the computer at 11:15 p.m., and sat up and read for a while.  Mostly I was re-reading bits of the Affinity!Verse.  I was so struck by Athos being badass on the show.  He hasn't shown that many signs of it yet in the Affinity!Verse, but he hasn't been involved in too much action-adventure in that world.  He tried to kill his fiancee, Anne de Breuil, after she killed his brother, but aside from that he hasn't done any fighting.

I went to bed around 1:00 a.m., I think.  I woke at 9:30 a.m.

Last night, I wrote a note to Dad that today was the start of Doctor Who week on BBC America, and left the note on the kitchen table.  Today I came down to breakfast to see him quite contentedly watching a show about the Doctor's companions and villains.

I went through Rainjoy's old Glee fics, to see what she'd written in 2011.  She started writing Glee fic on April 26, 2011.  That was the day "Born This Way" aired in the U.S., but Great Britain was a few episodes behind.  The U.S. season ended on May 24, 2011 with "New York."  The first episode I saw as it aired was "Original Song."  I saw "Prom Queen" and taped most of "Night of Neglect."  I saw and taped "New York."  Rainjoy said that she'd seen all of season two by June 15, 2011.  She started "Fix" on August 16, 2011.

On September 19, 2011, she wrote "In the Dark," the day before "The Purple Piano Project" aired in the U.S.  So I'd say between April 26, 2011 and September 19, 2011 could be counted as her old fic.  Rainjoy started writing "Big Moon Rising" (the Puppy!Verse) on April 29, 2012, and it has Sebastian in later chapters, so I don't think it counts as old fic.  She started "All the Other Ghosts" on July 24, 2012, so after the third season had finished airing in the U.S.  Rainjoy finished "Grey" on December 6, 2013.  From what I can figure out, she stopped watching Glee early in season four.

Rainjoy started writing Musketeers fic on February 27, 2014.  She started the still-continuing as of this date Affinity!Verse on March 15, 2014.  As I have previously noted, it was over 300 pages before we got the Affinity!Verse Athos.  It's nearly 500 pages, and we haven't gotten d'Artagnan yet.  I have been wondering if d'Artagnan will come at the end of the fic, and then there will be a sequel.  Only Rainjoy knows.

Later: J. came for a sudden visit.  We're not sure how long he's staying, though he said a couple of days.  Mom wants to clear off the bed in his old room.  He is helping Dad bundle up sticks to go out on the Wednesday brushwood collection day.

I looked at the flowers.  The jasmines in bud have a few days to go yet before they open.  I hope they don't get eaten before that.  A dwarf carnation had a flower.  The tiger lilies are almost done, but they were nice while they lasted.

Later still: J. brought a book called The Avengers Mythos.  It kind of summarized the origins of several Avengers.  They didn't have Hawkeye's origins, but they did have Luke Cage's.

I talked with Riah for a bit.

Rainjoy put up a long new chapter of the Affinity!Verse.  She warned for violence.  There was some horrible violence.  I wonder if it will be like that in "The Musketeers" season finale, that violent.
