Friday so far -- 4th of July

I tried to go to sleep a little before 2:00 a.m., and couldn't get to sleep.  I remember being up after 3:00.  I must have dozed off after a couple of hours.  I got up at 11:30 a.m.  I had been doing better.

I started re-reading Junk, the first in the series that continues with Stuff.

Maybe it's for the best that I slept in, as I probably won't get much sleep tonight, what with all the fireworks.

Slightly later: The Free Fridays Nook book was a Dora book that you needed a Nook with color to get.  There was a Free Fridays bonus book that was a romance, and I got that.

Later: I went out to the flowers.  I took pictures of the echinacea, bee balm and portulaca.

I re-read Junk.  It sets quite a bit up for Stuff.  I'll have to re-read Stuff.

I read the previous books in a series for two books I'll be working on.

I talked with J.-PA for a little bit, and with Jamie for a while.  Jamie said zie had heard that many Americans couldn't name the Canadian provinces.  I had an atlas nearby, so I could look them up.  It was a 1997 atlas, though, so it didn't include Nunavut.  Many countries had changed names since the late 1990s, or split into several smaller countries.  I need to get a new atlas.  Jamie said zie had learned the states of the United States, and their capitals.  I know those, at least.  Jamie and I had talked about where I live.  Jamie lives in western Canada, and said that southeastern Pennsylvania was a very long way from where zie lives.
