Monday so far

I got terribly tired by 10:00 p.m. last night, but I wanted to stay up.  I chatted with J.-PA for at least an hour.  I turned the computer off at 11:30 p.m. and went to bed by midnight.  It took me a while to go to sleep, but I think I was asleep by 1:00 a.m. or so.  I woke at 9:00 a.m.

I still haven't had anyone ask me to beta read their fic.  I guess I need to give it another few days.  Most of the Kurt-Blaine Reversebang fics appear to be fluffy, by their summaries.  That's fine with me.  I haven't figured out yet how to see the artwork.  I put in an ask to the mod that I could work fast.  I can, but hopefully they'll get me on a good day for concentration and time.  If people are still looking for beta readers at a time when the fics were originally supposed to be posted already, they'll need someone who can work fast.

I went out to see the roses.  'Mme. Zoetmans' is covered in flowers.  'Ispahan' and 'Fantin-Latour' had flowers open.  'Botzaris' had a couple of flowers open.  'Leda' has a couple of flowers open and several buds.  'Kazanlik' is starting to bloom.

The perennial geranium has been flowering, but it's under where all the canes of the sweetbriar fell over, so it's hard to see.

Later: Mom and I went out shopping.  We got baked goods, then went to the grocery store.

When we got home, we watched "Previously Unaired Christmas" and "Frenemies."  I asked Mom which she thought was worse, "Previously Unaired Christmas" or "The End of Twerk," and she said she thought they were both horrible.  She said that "Previously Unaired Christmas" should have stayed deleted.  I said that they hadn't actually filmed it in the fourth season, that it was an alternate universe episode set at the time "Glee, Actually" aired.  I had told her that my first reaction to it had been, "I'll be sitting in the corner, not dealing."

We had watched "Frenemies" right after we got to Florida.  I did a rewatch within a couple of days of getting home.  That was the first, and so far only, episode Mom's watched as it aired.  Now that she'd watched all the previous episodes, it made much more sense to her, and she knew who everyone was.  She said Santana should have moved out, not Rachel.  I said that Santana had already been kicked out a couple of times, and borrowed Racheline Maltese's phrase, "conflict drives narrative."  I said that someone had said that when Kurt Hummel was the mature one in the room, the others should think about their life choices.  Kurt had to grow up fast, and is more mature than most of the other characters on Glee.  I hope Mom will watch "Trio" soon, as it really goes with "Frenemies."

I picked several roses.  I figured it was better to have them in the house than to have them eaten.  That way I could enjoy them longer.

Much later: I made it to the Kurt-Blaine Reversebang beta list.  I hope I get some fics to beta.
