Saturday so far

I went to bed around midnight, and slept until my alarm went off at 10:00 a.m.  I got up a minute or two after 10:00 a.m., so that wasn't bad.

I looked on AO3 for the Klaine AU in which Blaine is a student at the Haverbrook School for the Deaf.  I found a number of Hawkeye of the Avengers fics in my search.  Hawkeye is canonically deaf, due to being too close to a sonic arrow when it exploded.  I read one in which he and the Black Widow were romantically paired, which is apparently a common pairing.  I found the Klaine AU after more searching.  It's titled "Sign," so I never would have found it by title.  It's finished, at least for now, though I'd like more in that universe.  Some chapters of the Hearing 'Verse are up on AO3 now, too.

After that I read the chapters up so far of a WIP with a Skank!Kurt.  That was by an author of a deaf!Blaine fic.  I like the Skank and badboy tropes for Kurt and/or Blaine, as long as they're not cruel to each other.

I want to work on an editing job I got last night.  It's due Friday.  It's by an author I like.

I may go to the grocery store today.  Mom's planning to, after she watches the figure skating that's on.  Johnny Weir is commenting on the skating.  I am sure he's not the only gay person involved with covering the Olympics.  I think there are openly gay people participating in the Olympics, as well.

Later: I went to the Indian grocery and got plain naan and cardamom cookies.  If I were allowed to eat things that smell like cilantro or curry in the house, I would have gotten chicken tikka masala, goat curry, and bhindi masala, all of which I love.

We got spring water.  We went to the grocery store.  The traffic light at that major intersection is working again, so that was good.

I watched parts of "Night of Neglect" and all of "Born This Way" on the CW.  They cut minutes of scenes with Kurt and Burt, and minutes of scenes with Kurt and Blaine, and the entirety of "As If We Never Said Goodbye."  They kept the song that was entirely repetitions of the name "Barbra Streisand," and cut "As If We Never Said Goodbye."  That was butchery of the episode.

I read some badboy and skank fics, and then switched fandoms to read some Clint/Natasha fics.  During the years I read lots of Marvel comics, I read some Avengers comics, so I was well aware of who Hawkeye was before the Avengers movies.  I just didn't see the slash in the Marvel movies that some people did.  I saw characters getting to be friends with each other.  Not that I have issues reading slash, but in the years I read the comics I did, all the characters but Northstar were straight.  I forget who Hawkeye was dating, but he was straight.

[Added: I looked it up.  Hawkeye was married to Mockingbird.  Once I saw that, I was reminded that that was the pairing around the time of the comic books I read.  He was also romantically interested in the Black Widow (so that's canon) when they were antagonists of the superheroes.  Hawkeye was also interested in the Scarlet Witch and the Wasp at different times.]

There's a picture floating around Tumblr of Adam Lambert and Chris Colfer standing together, with both wearing eyeliner.  I'm not sure if it's in character as Kurt and Starchild or not.  I don't really care.  I'm just enjoying it.  Ashley Fink tweeted that she'd been trying to get Chris to wear eyeliner for years.  I enjoyed that tweet, too.
