No special plans for the day. J. and K. are celebrating Christmas at K.'s sister A. and brother-in-law D.'s house in Annapolis, presumably with K. and A.'s parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. Z. is probably old enough now to get the idea of getting presents. I think she's three or so.
I want to make Mom a couple of pairs of earrings. I have glass, plastic, wood and quartz beads.
I sat under the sunlight-effect lamp and read the first three chapters of "Little Numbers."
A couple of hours later: I made Mom three pairs of earrings.
I had Jasmine Pearl tea, but I let it steep too long when I was making earrings, so it got bitter. I have two bags of it. I'll make more tomorrow.
I called J. and got voicemail, but he texted a "Merry Christmas!!!" back and asked if he could call us later.
My main present from Mom and Dad was that they're covering the Longwood Gardens membership renewal I did at the beginning of December. They surprised me with with another present, a blouse from L.L. Bean. I liked the "cobalt" color ones in the catalog, but they were out of cobalt, so they got me "China blue," which is a good color for me.
Later: J. called back. K. had been at the hospital since last night, and had been admitted.
Dad called Uncle P. and said "Merry Christmas" to that family and to Aunt P.T.
