Saturday so far

I was very sleepy Friday, from only getting a couple of hours of sleep at night.  I lay down in a recliner between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. Friday.  I lay down again around 8:00 p.m., got up a few times, lay down again a few times, and really tried to get to sleep around 10:30 p.m.  It took a while, but I think I must have fallen to sleep around midnight.  I slept until 10:00 a.m.

I had Golden Jasmine tea, for something caffeinated that will hopefully keep me up for the day.  I should be good after getting at least eight hours of sleep, though.

I sat under the sunlight-effect lamp and read more of Simple Jess.

S.M. dropped off a present for me.  They're turquoise-colored earrings.  They're not real turquoise, but they are cute.  I need to get a present for her.  She said maybe we could see each other after Christmas.

Aunt P.T. and my cousin J. are spending Christmas with Uncle P. and his family, but said maybe we could get together in January.  I would like to see them.

I don't know if I saw Dear Author's Daily Deals yesterday.  I looked at the site in the early afternoon, but I think the deals go up around 3:00 p.m.  They had several free books, which were still free at at least one site today, sometimes a couple of sites.  I have gotten a lot of free romances.

I went outside for a bit.  It's pretty nice out, and some of the snow had melted.

Slightly later: Mom and I went to a local park and walked on the walking path for a little ways.  We went up until a place where there was still some snow, and turned around.  At least we got out of the house and enjoyed the warmer weather.

Mom asked me about a novella, Have You Any Rogues? by Elizabeth Boyle, in the Rhymes With Love series, a romance series she was reading.  It's 2.5 in the series.  It's available as an e-book, but not as a print book.  I looked it up, and it's available as a Kindle book, a Nook book, and from Kobo, Google and All Romance eBooks.  It was $1.99 from all those places.  Mom told me not to get it for her, that she might have gotten it if it were free.  I'll have to watch at Dear Author and see if it comes up for free one day.

I had Mom try reading on the Kindle, Nook and Sony e-readers.  She learned to turn pages by swiping across the touch screen fast enough, but she said she liked print books much better.  She asked if Kindle books had page numbers, and I said no.  Nooks and other e-pub format e-readers have pages, I said.

Mom called Papa H., because it was his birthday.  H. (Mom's stepmother) said he was asleep.  Mom said to tell him she wished him a happy birthday, and talked about going down to Florida at the end of February.  I would like to do that.  I really enjoyed our Florida trip a couple of years ago.

Glee is on the CW tonight.  They're back to 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The episodes are "Grilled Cheesus" and "Duets."

Later: I watched "Grilled Cheesus" and "Duets."  I'm kind of doing a season two marathon by watching the reruns.  Knowing it's on on Saturdays gives me something to look forward to during the week.
