Thursday so far

I went to bed around 1:00 a.m. or so.  I was very tired.  It probably took me about half an hour to get to sleep.  I woke at 9:30 a.m. and went back to sleep for an hour.  I got up at 10:30 a.m.

I went to Trader Joe's and got melatonin, among other things.  I went to the one just on the Delaware side of the Pennsylvania/Delaware border, and considered going to Longwood Gardens on my way back.  I decided not to, with groceries in the car.  Maybe tomorrow.  S.M. and I are supposed to get together.

I sat under the sunlight-effect lamp and read a bit of Raising Cain: Blackface Performance from Jim Crow to Hip Hop by W.T. Lhamon, Jr.  It was published in 1998.  I'm only in the earlier part of the 1800s in the book so far.  It's concentrating on New York so far.

Later: I read a little of Just Before Jazz: Black Musical Theater in New York, 1890-1915 by Thomas L. Riis.  It was published in 1989.
