We dropped my car off at Firestone, and Dad gave me a ride to and from an appointment. The folks at Firestone called to say I needed a new oxygen sensor, whatever that is, which ties in with the sparkplugs they recently recommended I get. It turned out to be a very expensive day.
I e-mailed a little with J.-PA. Likeasouffle and I have been e-mailing back and forth about various fics in his fic folder. I was like a kid in a candy shop reading all the fic ideas and partial fics. I haven't read them all because a few are really not something I'd read. There are others that are not particularly my cup of tea. There were several I liked, though. I'm very used to shapechanger fics because I edit so many, and read so many outside of work. They're still extremely popular.
I had a couple of books on hold at the library, and I picked them up. They were Dear Author recommendations. I also got the first three books in the Russel Middlebrook series (starts with Geography Club). I asked at the reference desk whether they'd want the fourth book in the series, The Elephant of Surprise. The reference librarian gave me the contact information for the person who decides whether donations will be library acquisitions or go to the book sale. I'll ask her.
I asked A. if he wanted to chat tonight. He said yes.
I worked on an editing job.
The new-to-me yet old monitor doesn't have speakers. I plugged in little crappy speakers, and couldn't hear enough to make out words. I tried earbuds, but with the same result.
So Thinky reblogged my post about GLBTQ YA books, and a few people have already reblogged it from her, and added their own recommendations.
Later: A. said that Uly had gotten married. That was exciting. I sent Uly a "congratulations" e-mail.
