Completelyunabashed recommended another YA author who writes books with GLBTQ characters in them. She also gave me a link to a Goodreads list.
I wrote to the "Medieval People of Color" Tumblr. It shows people of color in European medieval art. I had a "History of Medieval Europe" class in college, and don't remember hearing in the class about people of color living in Europe during that time. The Tumblr has many pieces of art portraying people of color. I said I got a lot out of the blog.
I went outside for a little bit. It's nice out today. I took pictures of the begonias. The mystery pink rose has several buds, including one that has the sepals down. It should be at least partway open in the next couple of days. I'll have to keep watching it.
Later: The monitor had been blinking on and off, and then went out completely. Dad found another big and very old monitor I could use.
I got Uly to make a little list of recommendations of YA books with GLBTQ characters for me. One was Chris O'Guinn's Fearless.
