Mom and I went to a Wawa (tri-state area convenience store), the post office to put a birthday card for Uncle D. in the mailbox, and to the grocery store. Among other things, I got crystallized ginger.
I went out on my own and looked at the TV Guide at Barnes & Noble. I guess it was last week's that had an article about Glee. I went to Wal-Mart and got blank CDs. I went to Best Buy and got a Kindle Paperwhite. Not that I needed another e-reader, but it's a collecting obsession. It actually takes up less room than collecting print books, but I don't need more than one e-reader. I should give the older ones away. Maybe the library would like some. They lend out Nooks.
I went to S.M.'s from there. I took pictures of some of her flowers. I took pictures of the Japanese anenomes, the flowers by her mailbox and the other flowers in her front garden. The ones by the mailbox are impatiens in various colors, portulaca, and red sage. Some of the other plants in her front garden included 'David' phlox and different cultivars of coleus. There's a purple one she says is called Persian shield.
We figured out how to get her computer to play nicely with my digital camera. Garden club is this Thursday, and S.M. said she still had a lot to do. She might print out some of the pictures of her flowers, though. The other computer experiment I wanted to do was downloading iTunes onto S.M.'s computer, but we'll pick back up with that next time I visit, maybe. I tried to give her blank CDs, but she said I should keep them. I also wanted to figure out about downloading pictures onto a blank CD, but I can work on that at home.
At home, I took pictures of the mystery pink rose, 'Duchesse de Brabant' and 'Mme. Isaac Pereire'. I took pictures of the blue mistflower, too, the one that grows in among 'Mme. Zoetmans'.
After a couple of very quiet weeks, today was rather busy. It was nice to see S.M., though, and get flower pictures.
Later: I proofed an article and worked on a line editing job.
I put flower pictures up on Tumblr.
I saw a few days ago that Biyuti had changed her pronouns. I am writing this down to try to help me remember to get it right.
