It's hot today. I've been doing a little volunteer editing on articles The_Fixer (A.) is writing. I did one today. He and I will probably chat tomorrow evening.
I went out to look at the flowers. 'Maiden's Blush' and 'Ispahan' still have a couple of flowers each. The yellow jasmine is blooming.
I started reading "Little Yellow Tags," but had to turn off the computer because of another thunderstorm.
Later: I finished what of "Little Yellow Tags" has been written so far. They were off of prompts. It was one in which the Blaine was a Skank/badboy/Dom. I've read original fiction with more BDSM, but I couldn't suspend my disbelief level enough to think that that Kurt would do some of the things that that Kurt did in some of the stories. I read werewolf, vampire, and fantasy world stories, but I know they're wildly AU. As I've said, I believe that Lurkdusoleil's writing is easily good enough to get her professionally published. I'd love to read some original fiction by her that has BDSM and/or gay characters.
I'm good with the fics I've read in which one of the boys is FtM. I loved Likearumchocolatesouffle's story about an intersexed Blaine. The stories that are purely bp! don't generally work for me. Stultiloquentia wrote a good post about it (http://stultiloquentia.dreamwidth.org/173100.html). She(?) didn't say it was a bad thing, but did some analysis. It's too unreal yet too specific for me when it's cis men who have that anatomy, because cis men wouldn't.
I am reading a lot of fic lately. I like many AUs. I'm good with some future fic AUs in which the men get into power exchanges. It really depends.
Later still: Shandyall had updated "Cadences," and I read that. The Symphony 'Verse was future fic to start with and is decades into the future now. (*possibly spoilerish*) This chapter was from the viewpoint of a young original character. I liked when the fics were from Blaine's viewpoint. The Blaine in the story is very shy and has a severe stutter. I guess it's AU enough to start with that I was fine, and I liked that Blaine. Shandyall is talking about writing fiction with original characters. I enjoy a lot of the original characters in that 'verse.
I like well-written future fic. I like seeing takes on what the characters might be like in the future, especially when they still have characteristics you can recognize.
