I did the first read-through on an editing job.
I made it to an appointment.
I'll go out and see how the flowers are doing.
Later: I went out and got gasoline, and went to the grocery store. I got sushi for dinner.
The lilacs lost some blossoms in the rain, but were mostly still good. 'Salet' is finally leafed out. I had thought it was dead. So things are okay in the garden, as far back as I went.
Later still: Apparently there was talk about how people would like a punk-themed episode of Glee. One suggestion was a Pansy Division song. There's a link on Tumblr to "Bad Boyfriend." From there I found a video for "Homo Christmas." There's also a recording of a live performance of the Pansy Division version of "Breaking the Law," with special guest Rob Halford of Judas Priest. The Pansy Division version goes, "Breaking the law, the sodomy law." I'll have to look for "Headbanger." That's a favorite of mine. "That's So Gay" is another favorite. I'm trying to imagine Kurt singing like Jon Ginoli. It would be a far departure from the usual if Kurt sang punk.
I read Deflowered: My Life in Pansy Division some time ago. Jon Ginoli made an appearance at Giovanni's Room shortly after it was published, but I hadn't heard any of the music at that time. After that, I got "The Essential Pansy Division" CD and a few other songs, so now I have a much better idea of what the music is like.
