I saw some first reactions to the Glee episode "Sweet Dreams" in various places online last night, and more today. The Backlot (formerly AfterElton) had its recap, and I commented there. Others had noticed Kitty's "octoroon" comment and Jake's reaction. Glee was renewed for two more seasons. I was hoping for a season five, and am also very happy there will be a season six as well. I hope there will be concentration on Kurt and Blaine, individually and together. I am interested in Unique, and I like Jake, too.
I went outside for a little while. It was hot. I went out to the winter honeysuckle. A lot of the flowers are going by, but it still had some fresh blooms. The mahonia is nearly done. The Judd viburnum is in bud. I sprayed some of the roses and other flowers with Deer-Off, and sprayed 'Souvenir de la Malmaison' and 'Paul Neyron' with fungicide as well. Both have a little blackspot. I put them in possible places to plant them. I'll have to remember that Dad put the pot of purple pansies over by the shed on a stack of old tires. I need to find places to plant the rest of the pansies.
Later: P. called. She said her mother had been in the hospital, and I knew it was eventually going to come around to me taking P. to visit her mother. After about ten minutes, I asked, "Do you want me to take you down there on Sunday?" No, P. wanted Saturday, when I have some things I'd like to do, not to mention I'll probably be working on an editing job that day. We talked for about fifteen minutes altogether.
As soon as I got back to the computer, thunder rumbled, and after a few minutes of thunder, I turned the computer off for a while.
I'll probably end up going down to Wilmington tomorrow. At least P. called me the day before she wanted me to take her down there. I like Ms. F., and I'm concerned about her health. I'll need to put off some of the things I wanted to do. I won't be able to put off the editing, though, so P. may need to wait until Sunday after all.
Later still: I got the editing job to do at around 11:00 p.m., and said I'd finish it by Saturday. It's only forty pages, and I've been through it once.
