I'm supposed to meet S.M. for lunch at 1:00 p.m. today, and work with her on computer things. One was printing out fifteen copies of something, when she said she could only print out one. I don't have much luck getting printers working. I turn them off and on again, and that's the limit of what I know to do.
Later: I got to S.M.'s at 1:00 p.m. and we had lunch. We worked on the computer, and finished up all the e-mail and going to websites that she wanted to do by 3:30. She's learning how to shop online. It probably wasn't a good idea for me to teach her that. S.M. had gotten copies made of the several-page information packet she wanted fifteen copies of. I think that was easier than printing them out herself. She wanted some framed Godey Lady's Book prints appraised. We found a site that sells them. I said that that was the retail price for them. I'm not sure how much she got that the price an appraiser would tell her would be lower than that.
I had brought along a speaker that goes with my iPod, and played music for her. It cut out midway through the fourth song or so. S.M. suggested that we go to Trader Joe's. We went to the one near King of Prussia. S.M. took back ways instead of going on the highway. It's very difficult to get there from the highway if you're going north. South isn't bad. I got dried fruit at Trader Joe's. They have good-sized bags of it. I had brought along CDs, and figured out how to use the CD player in her car, which S.M. had no idea how to do. I showed her. All in all, I think I was pretty useful. It was a nice visit and trip out shopping.
