Monday -- New Year's Eve

I went to bed around midnight or so, and woke at 9:00 a.m.  I read more of Fixing Sex: Intersex, Medical Authority, and Lived Experience.

Aunt P.T. and my cousin J. came for lunch.  It was good to see them.  They’re very into genealogy and I found some family trees I had with information they didn’t have.  Dad had looked up the draft records for several of the members of our family who served in World War II.

Later: I decided not to waste my last recommendation on the "Gay Books -- What We're Reading in 2012" forum.  I recommended the Dr. Fell series.  I think I'd mentioned them before on the m/m romance forum when that was active, and possibly previously on the "Gay Books" forum.  I thought they were worth another mention.  For Mr. Souffle's benefit, as other readers know this, the series is by Syd McGinley.  Dr. Fell is a lifestyle Dom.  As the series begins, he's lost loved ones.  He's going for his doctorate in literature.

In the first story, "Pet Sitting," Dr. Fell's friend Ben needs someone to watch his sub for him.  Dr. Fell, who refers to the sub as "twink," decides to train twink properly while Ben is away.  Syd is a college professor.  I believe one of the things she teaches is English.  The stories are little gems of writing.  I said that the series was for those who like or don't mind reading about BDSM.  The books are now available as The Complete Dr. Fell: Lost, Found, and The Boys of Fell.  Some parts of the stories are touching, and some are hilarious.  The stories in Lost and Found are in Dr. Fell's viewpoint.  From that, everything he does and says is perfectly logical.  You can tell what other characters think about what he's doing, and sometimes they think he's pretty twisted.  I really came to like twink.
